1. Acceptance
By inviting, using or interacting with the Clien Discord bot ("Clien", "the bot"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the bot and remove it from your server.
These terms apply together with Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines and Developer Policy. If there is a conflict, Discord's terms control for your use of Discord.
Clien is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by Discord and the laws of your country, to use the bot. If you use the bot on behalf of a server, you confirm that you have permission to configure it for that server.
3. The service
Clien provides server security, moderation and community-management features, including anti-nuke protection, automod, welcome messages, autorole, tickets, leveling, invites and activity roles.
- Features may be added, changed, limited or removed at any time.
- Some features are free; others may require a premium entitlement.
- The bot depends on Discord's API and may be affected by outages, rate limits or platform changes.
- We may impose reasonable limits to protect the service, Discord, or other users.
4. Server administrators
If you add or configure the bot in a server, you are responsible for:
- Choosing which features are enabled and which channels or roles they affect.
- Informing members about moderation, logging and presence-based features.
- Making sure the bot's configuration follows your server rules and applicable law.
- Reviewing moderation actions taken by the bot on your behalf.
The bot acts on the configuration and permissions granted by the server. Automated actions such as deletions, timeouts or role changes are your server's decisions.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use the bot to break Discord's Terms, Community Guidelines or Developer Policy.
- Use the bot for harassment, hate, spam, scams, malware, phishing, or illegal activity.
- Attempt to exploit, reverse engineer, overload, rate-limit or disrupt the bot.
- Attempt to bypass permissions, privileged intents, rate limits or security controls.
- Use the bot to collect data about users for advertising, profiling or surveillance unrelated to the features provided.
- Resell or misrepresent the bot as your own official product.
- Use automated accounts or self-bots to interact with the bot.
We may restrict or terminate access for conduct that harms the bot, Discord, or other users.
6. Premium and payments
Some features may require a paid entitlement. Prices, plans and billing periods are shown before purchase.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full card details.
- Entitlements are tied to the guild or user ID shown at purchase and are not transferable unless stated otherwise.
- Refunds are provided where required by law or where the service was not delivered. Voluntary purchases are generally non-refundable.
- Chargebacks or fraudulent payments may result in suspension of the entitlement.
7. Data and privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it and how to request deletion. By using the bot you agree to that policy.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the bot online but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The bot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may perform maintenance, change features, or discontinue the service.
9. Termination
You can stop using the bot at any time by removing it from your server. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or create legal or security risk. Where reasonable, we will try to explain the reason.
10. Intellectual property
The bot's name, logo, code, documentation and design are owned by the Clien team or used with permission. These terms do not give you ownership of them. You may not copy, redistribute or create derivative works without permission, except where the law allows.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the bot is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Automated moderation can make mistakes; server administrators remain responsible for reviewing actions and configuring the bot appropriately.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Clien team is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost members, lost revenue, or server damage arising from the use of or inability to use the bot. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, or zero if the service was free.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Clien team from claims, damages, losses and expenses arising from your use of the bot, your server's configuration, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Clien, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights you have under your local law.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced in the support server. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
